Weaning of the paci?

Hi girls!  DD is almost 11 months & attached to the paci!  She needs it for all naps & at bedtime.  These are the only times she gets it.  How should I go about weaning her off of it?  A friend told me to cut a small piece off the tip & that she should then not want it since it's "broke"  Others say just go cold turkey.  Any tips?  Thanks!

    We have tried a couple of times for his naps to not give him one and he uses his thumb instead... I am not sure which is worse. You can take the paci away, not so easy to take the thumb away! Big Smile

    Seriously though, I would try to go cold turkey... at least for the naps, and then go from there.
