The more I look at wovens, the more confused I get. I really wish there was a store or babywearing group that I could find near me. One of my issues is what size wrap to get. I mostly did "poppable" carries with my DD many because it was hard to wrap with a long wrap in parking lots and not wanting to get the wrap dirty. So I want something shorter than a moby or my etsy cotton gauze wrap but still want to be able to do some moby holds like the newborn hug or regular hug hold or similar, maybe you have some other carries in mind that would work. Would also like to be able to do some hip carriers with my toddler (haven't used my current wraps for this since they are soo long). I am 5'3" about 125-130 when not pg. Maybe I need 2 carriers? Would like thin and lightweight, that is one of the reasons I love my gauze wrap. Any advice? Soory for spelling errors and no paras- on the iPhone. Thanks.

Re: Kwinters-help please!
You'd probably need a size 5 (4.2meters) woven, which is still long but much shorter than the moby. The tails would still touch the ground when wrapping in a parking lot, but you can just toss the tails in the car and that usually keeps them clean.
If you are really liking your gauze wrap then a Vatanai or ellaroo would be the two that I would recommend.
terpchic-- We met at a gtg. I don't remember your name though. I am Jen and my daughter is Ada. I have a vat, a striped didy and a bbslen shorty. If you want to meet up I would be happy to let you try them
There is a Babywearing group that meets at the new school in Baltimore on the second saturday of the month. I believe the same woman also does a group at a soft and cozy baby in Hampden.
Sorry it is the free school not the new school. Here is the link to the December Calendar. It isn't listed on the January one yet. It is a link from Red Emmas so it might not be work safe

terpchic - I'm in Odenton so I'm close to you as well! Of course I don't have a woven yet, but I'm also looking for a Vat for this next baby. It's nice to see ap moms on here. I'm part of an ap moms group in AA Co but I love meeting more!
