Squeeee!!!! PUPPIES! Me likey! Do you have homes for them already?
I usually have a waiting list of people who want them, they're the teacup yorkies, really tiny, like 3-4 lbs full grown! All of the ones are spoken for with this litter and I have another litter due around christmas! I just love having puppies

What's with the breeding of the yorkies? DH's cousin does this as well... There are so many dogs who need homes and so many more being bred. It's just a bit sad to me.

They are real darling though.
not everyone wants to adopt a dog and I don't blaim them, it's hard enough to start out with a puppy and train them but to get a dog that may or may not have emotional problems too is even more difficult. I think people who adopt pets are saints but I personally can't do it and I understand why other people don't want to either. You could make the same argument for human adoption couldn't you?
Some of the people who breed them, however don't care for the dogs as they should and I don't agree with that. This has been a family business for us since '93 and we treat our dogs like family. We don't breed them every heat and not their whole life. My one female is going to be retired after this litter that she has actually and will be able to live out the rest of her long life in the lap of luxery. We have never had more than 3 female breeders at a time so obviously not a puppy mill here. I've seen puppy mills and they are sad, I'm a huge animal lover and don't see anything wrong with breeding them if it's done right. Animals want to breed and procreate, it's not like we have to force them to do it.
p.s. I'm not mad or anything, I hear this a lot, just trying to explain it clearly.

I'm ok with breeding, because at one point, you're going to have to keep the bred line going...but I think there should be a strict limit on how many can be bred and there should strict rules and strict punishment for those who aren't being responsible. Both of my huskies are pure bred, bought from reputable breeders. I looked at the pounds around our area for my second one but huskies are few and far between in Louisiana (I would have taken a husky mix but even the only one I found wasn't good with kids). I also have a rescue beagle, who although she is very anti-social and runs from my husband (i'm guessing a man was her last owner and very neglectful) she is a sweet dog who just has had a rough life. I understand both sides of the spectrum.
"Seriously, mommy forum people are some crazy ass bitches." New Year New You
Yea, my SM bought a tea cup chihuaua(sp?) and it died like a week later. Ridiculous.
I think some breeders go overboard on trying to get the dogs smaller and smaller, while they may be cute it's not healthy. I won't breed a dog if she is too small and technically there is no such thing as a teacup yorkie I just use the term so people know they are small. I do think that some breeders are more concerned with the money aspect and don't take into consideration the dogs welfare enough and that's not right. I have turned people away because I didn't think they would be good pet parents and I would never sell to a pet store or ship puppies. Anyway, I'm done now :P

I like you, so I have no interest in hashing this out.
It's ok that you disagree with me, we are both adults and obviously not going to agree on everything. It doesn't make me think any less of you. I also don't live in a bubble and have heard this all before, I still don't think I am doing anything wrong. However, I didn't post this to get in a debate about it all, just wanted to AW my cute @ss puppies :P
p.s. love the new siggy pic of your girls- so sweet.

I will name them George and I will hug them and pet them and squeeze them and pat them and rub them and caress them and...

I quote this all the time and DH acts like I am crazy. I was beginning to think i was the only person who had ever seen this!
"I will love him and squeeze him and name his name George, and i will reprimand him like a father does his son."
