Need advice on constipation!

My DD had gas last night so I gave her drops. They seemed to help her a lot but now she has not gone poop in almost 24hrs. Anyone know if the drops can make her constipated? I feel so bad for her. I tried calling the doctor office to speak to an advice nurse but they are not in. Any suggestions on what to do for constipation? She is 5weeks old. Thanks

Is she formula fed or breast fed?

Our ped said that LO could go up to 7 days without pooping...

Yeah, i would give it a little more time before you do anything. DS is FF, and he has been typically going every other day. But last week I tried switching him to generic version of his formula and he got so constipated. With DD, my pedi always told me to put a little prune juice in her bottle, so I did that with him and it took maybe 1/2 day to kick in and he was relieved.

Thank you ladies! She is BF mostly. I have a low supply so doc told me to supplement. She gets two formula bottles a day at the most. On my good days she gets no formula.

My pedi told me that lack of poop does NOT mean he is constipated.  Babies can go days without pooping.  I was told that if DS had hard, "rabbit pellet" poop then that means he is constipated. 

Now having said that, for constipation our pedi recommended prune juice.

DS had this problem Friday and yesterday. put a drop of Karo syryp in her bottle. Do this for 2 feedings in a row. This worked perfect with DS. Within 12 hours, he pooped and felt so much better.
