I woke up this morning, started pulling my hair up in a ponytail, and got a nice cramp in my mid-stomach, to the point I had to put my arms down and hold my stomach. Only lasted a few seconds. Then like 10 minutes later I got another one, not quite as bad though. They weren't like RLP, because I've had that. It was like menstrual cramp, but just above my belly button. Because I'm so short the baby is higher than it is in most women. The top of my uterus is already passed my bellybutton. So maybe it was the top of my uterus stretching? Anyone else experience this? TIA
Re: Cramping at 19/20 Weeks?
I had the same thing happen a couple times around 20 weeks. It was so bad that I had to stop what I was doing too and just hold my stomach. I figured out that it was days where I was out and about and didn't drink enough water. Dehydration can cause contractions so make sure you're on top of your water intake! Drink, lay down.
If it happens more than 4-5 times in an hour then I'd call your doctor.
Yup. I have the same type of feeling every couple of days. It's usually in the evening when I'm starting to get sore anyway and then I pick up Drew and BAM, I feel a cramp right in the area you described (or sometimes a little lower). It has happened other times of the day too.
I personally am not worried about it. There are so many random aches and pains of pregnancy. If it starts to happens a lot, becomes unbearable, or is accompanied by some other symptoms (i.e. spotting) then I'll ask the doc. But I'm guessing it's all good.
