I was wondering if anyone could offer some suggestions.... ![]()
My 8yo SS is going to be with us for the first time on Christmas (in the past, we've always seen him just at various other times in December to exchange gifts.) I'm curious how many presents everyone gives from Santa. Also, what are some stocking stuffer ideas???
This is new to me. TIA!

Re: Santa gifts & stocking
I think your DH should ask SS's mom what the norm is for him/them in regards to Santa.
DH and discussed it and decided actual gifts would come from people and Santa would only bring stockings with small items in it (an orange, some candy, toothbrush, small toys like matchbox cars or small lego set, etc).
Talking to BM is not always that easy.....haha
The only information we've been able to get is that Santa brings big gifts. I was just curious what others normally do.
Growing up Santa always did the stocking (usually a movie, small toy or jewelry, a piece of candy & a piece of fruit) and a bunch of gifts under the tree.
DH and I have decided that with DD Santa will do the stocking and the big gift under the tree (whichever gift DD is wanting the most!!). We will also have book wrapped at the end of her bed from Santa (for her to open when she wakes up) and maybe a family board game under the tree. Everything else will be from us!
At our house, Santa brings 1-2 bigger gifts (usually unwrapped and topped with a bow) and fills stockings (usually with pjs, slippers, lip balm, art supplies, a little candy and a cute toy). Even though we have big stockings there always seems to be too much to fit so that is just stacked up on the mantle!
Make sure you have him leave out cookies for Santa (and maybe carrots for the reindeer).
Have fun! I love the whole Santa thing on Christmas eve!
We'll definitely do the cookies and carrots!
