cloth diapering for idiots?

i'm considering cloth diapering...can someone point me in the direction of a general FAQ...like...different brands of diapers, the differences between the types of diapers, what all i need to buy, etc, etc?

The FAQ on this board is helpful, but isn't really concise. Definitely sift through it though, and lurking on this board has helped me. I felt really overwhelmed at first, but I'm trying to ease into the idea of it and just learn bit by bit.
