I need co-sleeping help

Since day one, LO has been sleeping in the bassinet part of her PnP.

The weight limit to that is 15 lbs.  I don't know where to put her when she reaches that limit.  I want her in the room with us, but her crib won't fit and I'm too scared to put her in bed with us (too many blankets, pillows, and DH sleeps like a rock).

One option is to just put her in the play pen, but I don't know.... Any advice?

I'm posting this on the AP board as well.

ETA: A co-sleeper won't work, because it would either block the door to get out of our room or block the bathroom door.

Re: I need co-sleeping help

  • I would use the raised portion on your pnp, try a gradual change b/c that's how I got stuck bed sharing.  Although I don't mind the bed sharing since we bought a king size bed and a bed rail, we all have plenty of room now.

  • We bedshare but since your trying to avoid that why not just use the PnP without the bassinet piece. DS takes naps in his all the time and we are actually thinking of moving it to our room so he can sleep in that at night.

There isn't a raised option.  Either she is in the bassinet or on the floor of the play pen part.

  • We have the same problem. DS sleeps on the floor of the play pen. It's the same mattress essentially, so your LO prob won't know the difference. I thought it would be really hard taking him in and out of it, but it's not.
