Belly kicks

On Monday, I was feeling LO bump around every so often and I wondered, 'Can I see it at this point too?' I thought I did during one kick, but I wasn't sure and I didn't see anything after, so I figured it must have been my eyes playing tricks on me. Angel

Today, he's been so active and twice, I've been able to lean back and watch him kick my belly randomly for periods of 15-20 minutes at a time. Normally, when I feel him moving/kicking, I'll get all excited, but he makes one or two movements and then is quiet for hours.... He's been really good at shying away when I put my hand on my belly or try to get DH to feel his movements too. Stick out tongue

Maybe he's getting bigger or stronger, but what an amazing feeling. I'm just absolutely falling in love with him and I can't wait for DH for feel him/see him moving around in there.

Thanks for letting me squee for a moment. I don't normally do that. Smile

Edited for: Embarrassing grammatical error.

Re: Belly kicks

  • Pretty sure my LO does the same thing! As soon as I put my hand on my belly to feel kicks, everything comes to a stop down there! Stubborn baby! I tell DH it's his genes that make LO that stubborn. Smile

I felt the first tiny flutters at 14 weeks and 4 days, so it might be soon for you! Big Smile

  • i thought my baby girl was shy to but then i realized how my excitement must have been effecting her when i would feel kicks and look down trying to see them. also when she was smaller i would breathe differently (go from brething with my lungs to using my diaphragm more) so my belly wouldnt more as much so i could see the kicks and she would stop. now i dont get as  excited and i just glance down and i can see her. also she would stop moving when a hand touched my belly (mine or dh) but shortly after she'd resume. she likes the warmth but i think the touch is like "who's out there" then goes to " ooo warm" and she'll statrt moving again. so just try to be patient. i give dh "baby time" where i jsut sit still when i feel her and he has his hand or head on my belly for about a half hr...

  • So sweet, my LO is a funny moody little one. I usually try to relax a little before I get to feel the konfu kicks. The kid has been very shy specially when others touch my LO's home (belly).

I however have gotten the kicks of my life at times. I was so happy that yesterday my Husband got to feel him/her. He was gently resting his head on the top of my stomach (Near my belly button) and talking soothingly to our LO. He then giggled before gently rubbing my tummy and asking our LO who loved him. Without warning the LO kicked my husband fairly hard on the ear (well as hard as they can kick at 24/25 weeks) it was so cute!

My husband looked up at me so quickly with a smile that I hadn't seen since the day I told him we were expecting. He went back to my tummy and kissed it many times.
