1st pap after having baby

I have not had a period since having my son via c/s 10 weeks ago. I had my annual pap yesterday and bled pretty heavily through the night and now am having what appears to be my first period. I have never had cramping/bleeding after a pap before. Have any of you had your 1st pap since having the baby and did you bleed? I am going to call the Dr on Mon if bleeding is still super heavy, just to be sure.

yep i had one at my 6 week appt plus she checked my ute. no bleeding.

I was just going to ask this! Yesterday i had my 6 week pp checkup, and she had noticed i still had alot of old blood still making its way out, so i had a US to check if everything was okay and a pregnancy test to make sure nothing was left behind. I was cleared to go, but since making it home last night my bleeding has increased and its defiantly new blood. Good to know this is somewhat normal, i was pretty shocked to be getting a period since im EBF.

Mine is definitely new blood and is still a pretty heavy flow (my periods were always heavy though). I also took a pregnancy test to be sure I wasnt pregnant. I have not gotten back on birth control yet. I am now exclusively formula feeding so I think maybe the pap just jump started my period I feel better to know that I am not alone. I just thought it was a weird coincidence though!
