DS is 8.5 months old and EBFs. My supply has been gradually dropping over the last month. When I pump now at work, I'm lucky to get 2.5 ounces. I have enough of a stash to take me to around 10 months old. I'm wondering, is that too young to introduce whole milk? When did you start introducing it? I know someone that introduced whole milk at 7 months because they didn't want to do formula - but I think that is a little young. I have a pedi appt in a couple weeks and can ask him them, but I wanted to get all of your thoughts as well. TIA!
Re: Introducing whole milk?
I started introducing whole milk at about 9.5 months for taste. Around 10 months or so I started offering it at meal times instead of water. I'm still nursing morning and night but hope to be done soon.
I posted on the same topic a while back. I received some helpful responses, especially the one that Canadian pediatricians recommend milk from 9 months. GL
