How many ounces was your baby at the 20 week u/s?

My baby was 13oz, they said normal, but isn't that big? Does that mean the baby will be bigger?

Our baby was 11oz at 19w5d.  The tech said that weight right now has absolutely no relation to weight at birth...that will be determined in the 3rd tri when they start fattening up

Mine was yesterday and my baby was also 13 ounces.  I asked the tech if that was big and she told me that average weight is 11-13 ounces.

Every baby is different! They grow at different rates. I think at our 20w u/s the baby was about that big.

#3 was 11oz at 20wks 5days.  My DS was 10oz at 19wks 2days.  DD was 8oz at 18wks.  The techs all said these were normal weights.

@ 20 wks 2 days LO weighed in at a full 16 oz. I'm hoping he slows down a bit in the next few months or he's gonna be a biiig boy.

tech told me slightly over 15 oz at our 20 week u/s...   not quite sure where he's getting his hugeness from, neither DH, DD or I are big people!   But I"m convinced he'll be arriving early

our tech said 8-14 is a healthy range, a little bigger or smaller is ok, but they may start to look at other measurements to double check due date, etc.  Ours was about 10oz at 19w 5d

My friend told me her midwife said the baby can end up bigger and weighing more if you eat a ton of sugar/junk in the last trimester. I know that's not really related to the first question, but is that really true?

Mine was 13 oz too.  I wouldn't worry about it.

1) Its an estimate and honestly a poor one at that.  I had an u/s 1 week before I delivered my son and they said he was 5 lbs and when he was born he was 6 lbs 8 oz.  He didn't gain 1.5 lbs in less than a week, the estimate was off.

2) You have a long time for baby to continue to grow and change.

uh oh.  i'm gonna have a chunker.  i can't stay away from the junk food, and i've been packing on the pounds this past month....

I admit I eat lots of sugar/junk, when or not. DS was 7lbs 7oz, which is average, so didn't hold true for me.
