What brand of pre-folds do you us?

I have been looking around to buy some prefolds but am unsure what brand to buy for the newborn stage.. I was thinking GMD but am not sure.. What is AFFF?

AFFF = Artsy Fartsy Foo Foo. She makes hemp inserts, not prefolds. I used GMD prefolds when my DS was a newborn. They worked well, but I don't really have anything to compare to.

I recommend GMD's cloth-eez prefolds! I have the organic yellow edge from them and we use them all the time. I used another kind for newborn phase that weren't nearly as absorbant or soft.

We used GMDs orange edge for the newborn stage and they were great.

What kind of GMD did you get? White, unbleached or organic??

I had little lion, gmd, and some from the local diaper service the little lions and gmd both great the others not so much

I used Little Lions, unbleached indian prefolds for the newborn stage.  I loved them.  I had some bleached GMD in a bigger size and they were not nearly as soft (I'm guessing it was more of the bleached vs unbleached and indian vs chinese cotton rather than the brand, because I know ppl love GMD).  I was very happy with LL and thought the price on the seconds were very reasonable - no visible problems because they were seconds either!

I just got some of these in the mail today -- but how do you use them as prefolds? Or do you just lay them in the wrap?
