Well shiit... It is hard to top that.

I am a Kentucky Colonel. I was picked to go this student congress in Lexington my junior year of congress (I am a nerd) and the governor made all the students there Kentucky Colonels

Exactly! My husband is uber conservative, so he always tries to find fault in me being bi; he doesn't get that it's just merely attraction, it isn't like I dictate what sex I like. I suppose that's why I've been with more women than men... They're a lot more empathetic to the fact.

  • I changed my major from pre-med to math and computer science my junior year after watching a birth where the lady got a 4th degree tear during an observation at the hospital. It's also the reason I didn't have sex till after marriage, and wasn't sure I ever wanted to have a baby.

I have nothing remotely that could top that, Kmeek! You don't play fair! *pouts* :P

Hmm... I once pursued, snagged and epically dumped a goody-two-shoes guy just to see if I could. As soon as he was mine, I lsot interest. I don't feel bad because he was goody-goody to the point of arrogance and acted like it was some huge thing he'd have to "forgive" me for when he found out I'd done more than just kiss my ex-bf. (Excuse me?!) He cried when I dumped him.

I still think he deserved it.

When I was in 5th grade I was already reading at a college level. I would easily read huge novels in a very short period of time.

I still to this day love to read and will try my hardest to instil the love of the written word into my daughter, though spelling and grammer has always eluded me. Hmm go figure.

I've dated more guys that have turned out to be gay then straight guys.
(I did not realize this until a year ago when I found all my old boyfriends on facebook)
I guess that's what I get for dating within my pool of Theatre geeks!

Ha! Me too. I was no gold star lesbian or anything. I had a few flings out of curiosity, but men just never really did it for me emotionally or sexually. All of my long term relationships were with women. Then I met DH and he flipped my whole world upside down. We were best friends but really I fell so hard for him and was just fighting it tooth and nail. Then he got me drunk. Now we've been together for three years and I'm more in love than ever.

I just reread this and realized how overly sweet, puke inducing I sound. Sorry for the corniness.

This is my siggy. Love it.

I used to be a serial serious-relationship dater. I would be in a relationship with a guy for like 2 years, then grow bored and break up with them. I went through like 4 serious relationships in the span of high school and some of college. I could never figure out why I was so bored with these guys when it came to me one day - they were all too nice. I can be sort of a spitfire and I guess the whole time, I was looking for a guy that I couldn't boss around.

Then, I met my husband and I just knew he was the one for me. He does not take my $hit and that turns me on (of course there are other reasons too).

People never guess this about me because they look at me and see innocence for some reason (could be because I look like I'm about 12 years old).

I seriously could have written this post. We are relationship twinsStick out tongue

  • I graduated from college (with 2 degrees) with a nearly perfect GPA.  The only reason it wasn't a 4.0 was because I was in a coma on life support due to a severe lung infection and withdrew from that semester.  I took 28 hours the next semester so I wouldn't fall behind.

I did as well (except with 1 degree) except for one stupid 100 level class I took my junior year. My prof was MIA most of the semester and had some guy teach the class for him who was a complete idiot. I pretty much blew the class of because it was a huge waste of time and things like going home to help my family and brother who was going through chemo became more important. 1 b for me.

    Sorry for the run-on sentence.

I can just have a drink or two and it be no big deal as long as I'm doing it in fun, but when I'm upset/stressed/nervous/scared/pissed I lose my resolve, so I try to avoid it then. Same for me.  My grandmother was a harsh task master.  I was supposed to go to 6th grade instead of kindergarten, but my mother though I would have socialized better with kids my own age.  Especially becasue I looked like I was 3 and not 5 at the time.

Reading Anne Rice and Star Trek novels in kindergarten tends to get attention, and a trip to the school counselor<.< In the end, I still read books in a few hours, and hoard them all over the place.  We have about 2 dozen boxes of just books in our basement.  I can't go into a used book store without leaving with a paper bag's worth.

I have a serious phobia about puking. Like, to the point where I almost have a nervous breakdown if anybody around me even has a stomach ache. It's horrible, but I've had it since I was in first grade.

Being pregnant and having some morning sickness helped a little to make me realize that puking really isn't that big of a deal. But I still try to avoid it like the plague. DH has already agreed to take over all DD-puking responsibilities when the times comes.

    THIS..exactly!!!

Having DS has helped me because he has gotten sick a few times, but there are times I don't even want to use public bathrooms because I am scared someone may come in and get sick while I'm in there!!

  • I've always had great grades...except in Math. I can understand the formulas and concepts..but numbers elude me for some reason. I just can't see the numbers in my head. Every thing has to be done on paper and it takes me a long time. It's always been an issue for me because I LOVE science but it has so much Math involved.

Last night, DH and I were watching The year without a Santa Clause. I said I loved the movie as a kid and he commented on how old it looked. I said "Yea, it came out in 74, it's 26 years old." He laughed so hard and I couldn't figure out why until he told me. LOL
