Oh no! DD is cussing!

I was backing up in a parking lot and I'm more than half way out and this guy decides he wants to back up anyways too and almost hit me. I couldn't help but say "douch*bag!" I am usually pretty good about not cussing around DD but it just came out, and now DD has said it 3 times! I couldn't help but laugh when she said it b/c it was pretty funny!

I wouldn't worry about it. I would ignore it and she will probably forget she "learned" the word. My mom says one day in the car I was rhyming and we passed a firetruck so I started rhyming "Truck" and was going straight down the alphabet. I got to F and my grandmother changed the subject and got me interested in something else. Neither my mom or my grandma ever acknowledged what I said so it was forgotten (until I became a teenager).

out of the mouths of babes....  I wonder what will come out of my DS's mouth.  I have a potty mouth.   I have tried to not say things as much, sometimes i slip...

Ok, that is hilarious and I would laugh too. Just ignore it and focus on another new word she likes "yes! cow says moo mooooo mooooooo" Animal sounds are way more fun than calling people douchebags. To toddlers atleast.
