So I've been mainly lurking (and will probably continue too - I got WAY too addicated to the knot during wedding planning this past year that I'm trying to keep myself from getting like that again) but I have posted here and there. My name is Melissa, DH and I got married Sept 18 and most likely conceived on Sept 21. So we successfully made our honeymoon baby! We already have a DS he'll be 3 in Februray. Which is why we were in such a rush for LO#2 we didn't want the age difference to be too big. But I also didn't want to be pregnant at our wedding. Thankfully, as DH likes to think, he has super sperm and it happened right away. Oh and we are due June 14th, which DH is extremely happy about, Flag Day...his favorite holiday! (I will never understand why)!
Now for my question. We have 3 friends getting marriend this summer, 2 in May, the 21st and 28th. And one in July. We actually decided if we didnt get pregnant in September we would wait so we wouldnt be due in July. We didnt want to miss those friends wedding they are really dear to us. So with the May weddings, the first 1 is 2/3 hours away, and will be 3 1/2 weeks before our EDD. I think we can handle that one. It's the next one. That is about 5 hours away and 2 1/2 weeks before the EDD. Would you risk going and going into labor that far away from home? And also being in a car that pregnant for that long? I'm so torn between this. I really would like to go...it's my roommate from college's wedding, I'd feel bad missing it. But also I know nothing about the hospitals there I think that would be a really scary experience. (On another note...where do I get a nice maternity dress for a wedding)
Thanks!
Re: Intro & Question
I'm pretty sure your Dr will tell you not to travel that far when you're that late in your pregnancy. Also, I believe some girls on here have mentioned that some insurance may not cover you if you're so far away from home. I would consult your Dr, but I would plan on not being at that one. I'm sure your friend will understand.

Welcome and congrats!
Urg sorry about that post! I am seconds away from throwing this computer out the window.
I hadn't thought about insurance. That's a good point. I don't think my doctor would discourage it, I asked her about doing a 2-Day 40 mile breast cancer walk May 14-15 and she said there was no reason why I couldn't do it. After talking with DH we decided it's probably better not to. With DS we stopped leaving the state a month before his EDD.
I'll check out those for dresses thanks!
