Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Anyone else nearing 12 mos bfing, still no AF?

That is me....we have even started the weaning process...which makes me kinda sad, and are down to 3 feedings a day and still no AF...I am beginning to wonder if she will ever come back!

  • no AF?! I'd be SOOO happy! with #1 I made it 10 months BF with no AF, as soon as I stopped nursing it came back though... so enjoy the SF free time!

  • My first thought was to say "Bite me" but you probably wouldn't know that I meant it in jest.

Count your lucky stars that she isn't back yet. She's a mean lady that messes with my supply every month (I got it back at 5 mo pp) every month it gets worse and worse.

So be happy! My bff didn't get it back until she weaned, maybe you will be that lucky!

  • I got it once in October, skipped November, then just got it again today.  I don't know if this is normal, but it's been SUPER heavy both times, so when it does come... watch out!
  • oh on a non bf related topic- how is the ECing going?

We are doing some with Lucy as well and I always love to hear how it is going with others.

  • No AF for me yet either.  After DD#1 was born, I got my first (and only) AF a week before her first birthday.  5 weeks later I got a BFP (oops) and was PG with DD#2.  With DD#2, I went on BCP (for one month) before getting AF at 13+ months pp and when she was weaned.  (I had two or three? AF between DD#2 and DS.)  Still haven't gotten one with DS, but he's still BF at least 4-6 times a day.  We'll see how it goes as we get closer to his first birthday.

FWIW - I also have an IUD (Paragard so no hormones) so there better be an AF eventually and NOT a BFP again.

It is going well!   He hardly ever poops his pants anymore and he is waking up dry from naps! How is it going with you?

Everyone else..thanks! I guess I should be happy that I dont have AF. DH got a vasectomy so no BFPs here...at least I should hope not!  I was just beginning to worry that I had a health issue or something.

  • Nothing here yet either. I will go until the end of the year pumping while at work and then will just wean to morning and night nursing.

Good, she pees on the potty nearly every time we put her on. Poops are going ok, we were doing really well and then we seemed to have regressed some, her signs just aren't very noticeable.

We are taking it very easy, just putting her on at diaper changes but her diapers have been dry after naps sometimes and less wet most of the time.

She gets so excited when she goes too
