My little guy leaks at night probably four to five times a week. Which is driving me crazy! I use pocket diapers that he doesn't leak from at ALL during the day. Never had a leak. The pockets have MF inserts and at night I use a MF doubler as well. Sometimes the MF isn't soaked and he still leaks on his lower back. Granted, he is sleeping longer at night (one 6 hour stretch, then a three hour stretch...) Is this compression leaking? Is it safe to say I need more absorption power? Or some sort of different diaper? Currently I only have pocket diapers.
I have some AFFF on the way and am hoping this helps but in the meantime any veteran insight would be great.
Re: leaaaaking at night help?
If he isn't soaking the MF but its still going up the back, that sounds like you may need a longer rise in your diaper, at least at night. If they're OS diapers, I would let the rise out. Otherwise, you may need to look at going up a size or with a brand with a longer rise.
One of our signs that its time to let our diapers out is when we start having poop travel dangerously high up the baby's back. Giving more rise helps, so it may help your situation too.
