DD is thisclose to walking and I have no clue what shoes to get for her. I want something warm (boots) for when we are outside and them some regular shoes.... I know StrideRite/Robeez are really good, but I can't fathom paying $30 for a pair of baby shoes that she will out grow in 3 months. What do you all have for your LO's?
Re: Talk to me about shoes for LO
Do you have a Stride Rite/Keds/Sperry's outlet near you? They sell the Robeez for under $20 there.
DS isn't walking yet, but they are worth the extra $ to me. He can't take them off himself and they stay on vs. other shoes we have for him. I'm pretty frugal, but if something is really worth it IMO, I'll pay for it!
Happy Birthday, little man. We love you so much!
My favorite money saving tip: I've earned more than $300 in gift cards (Amazon, Starbucks, Southwest!) using SwagBucks for internet searching - and you can too! It's FREE and EASY!
My DS was in Robeez or Pedipeds, and we still have a couple pairs of Pedipeds in the 6-12 size since he's not walking outside. He also has a pair of Stride Rites.
For my DD, she was also in Pedipeds the first year of her life, and then I moved to Stride Rite and she was exclusively in those for awhile. I still buy from there for some pairs, but I also get her shoes that match outfits from Gymboree and Baby Gap and she has Uggs, and some shoes from Target. I get her dress shoes from Target every year since she doesn't wear them that often.
Her gym shoes have always been Saucony or New Balance. I go to Nordstrom for her shoes even though there are 2 Stride Rite stores near me because I think the service is better and they have more of a selection.
DS has a pair of boots from Target. They were $20 and they are exactly like Robeez.
