We don't have our tree up yet but my mom does and she will crawl over to it when the lights are one. If the lights are off, she usually leaves it alone.
He doesn't really like the feel of the tree. He tried to get the presents underneath and was attached by the pines. He freaked out and booked it out from under the tree. He will try and take down all of my ornaments on the tree.

DD likes to look at the tree, especially if the lights are on, but she doesn't touch it. She did take an ornament off my mom's tree, but only 1, played with it for a bit then put it down.
i have the timer set on the window lights so those are on when we get home... and then we turn on the Xmas tree ones together and her face just LIGHTS UP when the lights on the tree come on. so.dang.sweet!! sometimes she'll touch it but it's just the lights and she's very easy with it. i was worried, too, but i'm guessing the size might be a little much for them and that's why they don't really try attacking it??
I picked "sometimes". She mainly ignores it, but if DS is touching it (which he does, all.the.time) then sometimes DD will toddle over and touch it a bit. But she quickly loses interest again.
He'll crawl over and play with it for a minute but that's about it. I put these bell ornaments on the bottom so he can go over and hit them and the bells ring. He loves it! The presents under the tree he likes to eat. I thought it was really cute and picture worthy the first time I saw him doing it, and by the time I snapped a quick (adorable, btw) picture he had a chunk of wrapping paper in his mouth. Oops! So now I have to watch him with those.

i say no but our 7 foot tree is on top of a 30inch high table! we brought in our patio table from the deck and our tree is on that! fun place to crawl under but not touchable!!!!
My DD is terrified of the tree and won't go anywhere near it. We have it in the front living room and she won't even crawl in that room on her own anymore.
From miscarriages, a diagnosis of a bicornuate uterus, and fibroid removal surgery...It's been quite the journey but it was all well worth it.
I'm neurotic so both of our tree's are gated off from where DS usually plays but when we've been in there he shows some interest. I put any of the more "dangerous" ornaments higher up but he just likes on cheap sparkly snowflake anyway.
