How long does the anatomy scan appt take?

My anatomy scan isn't for a few more weeks, but I was wondering how long it takes? I hear it's pretty thorough.

I've heard 45 min to an hour.

With DS it took about 25-30 minutes.  I am expecting about the same.  Our u/s tech is fast, but very thorough.

with my DS it was about 20-25mins. he was going kinda fast. but i saw him measuring and snapping a lot of stuff. lol

Mine took about 20-25 mins also but everything was very precise!

Ours was about 30 minutes long yesterday. She took 46 photos and measurements!

Mine isn't scheduled till January so I have a bit longer to go but is it more than just the gender check that everyone talks about?  It sounds like it could be a rather lengthy appointment if they are checking other things.

With DS, he wasn't cooperating and so it took an hour and a half.  I was also with a specialist since I'm high risk.

Yes, determining the gender is the least of it (but exciting, of course!) I think the majority of it is measuring everything to make sure all is on track. Of course, that's just what I'm assuming as I haven't had mine yet though.
