Met with my Dr for the first time yesterday {before that it was just bloodwork, nurse, ultrasound tech, ect...} So anyways, first she walks in the room about to pop herself! I haven't seen her since June, she says shes due anyday now!
Anyways... she wanted to talk to me about my 'Warm Antibodies' and blood results. I've had blood taken at least 4 or 5 times already and sent off to test for these. First Im O-, so I need Rhogham {sp?}. And then she said its been awhile since she's had to deal /w this so shes going to get together with the other 2 Drs in the practice and see what they said, but she said they may label me as High Risk and refer me out to a specialist. She said my levels are low and are ok for now- but they will montior with extra bloodwork and extra ultrasounds. She really didn't say what would happen if the levels were to get anyworse... I dont want to think about it. Basically my body would fight off the baby... But Im really trying to stay positive and I guess we'll just cross that bridge if we have to
The Dr told me not worry, but how CAN'T you?! This is my first pregnancy, our first child, Im only 22! I've been feeling FANTASTIC- I've had m/s only once... its just something we'd never expect. To possibly be labeled as High Risk...ugh.
But on a good note- we heard our babies heartbeat with a doppler for the first time- 144!
...If anyone has some extra prayers or thoughts, we'd really appreciate it- Thank you ladies for everything!
Re: Possibly High Risk .:0_o:.
Hang in there and feel good. Hopefully it's just being overly cautious! T&P to you and the babes!
...No DaisyJanie, She thinks I may be because of Warm Antibodies- its kinda like an autoimmune disease where your body breaks down red blood cells prematurely... and if it can reject the baby. I think think its weird it measured in levels- I would think you either have it or you dont... but Im not a Dr, so I'll just have to trust her!

Sorry you're having to go through this. You really shouldn't worry (because worrying and fretting isn't going to help!!) but I know it's hard.
The good thing is, you've been referred to a specialist, someone who knows what they're looking at and can probably give you a much better picture of things. And you've made it this far without rejecting the baby, so that should give you hope that your body is okay with having your LO in there
