first pregnancy and new to board

Hi everyone! I just joined yesterday and just found this post tonight. We found out last week we are pregnant and are very excited! I was just saying this morning on a different board how the only symptom I had was fatigue. How ironic because all day I have felt absolutely terrible at work. I have been nauseous and had a pounding headache. And we aren't telling anyone for a while so you just have to keep your mouth shut and try to be upbeat when you feel like crap. Plus, I work in a hospital and had to lift heavy people today. I'm worried this is dangerous but don't know how to avoid it without telling people I'm pregnant.

I am also sooo worried about misscarrying. I was on the First Trimester board and their were so many posts about people misscarrying. I am so nervous. My first doctor appointment is Dec. 28 and I hope they do an u/s so I can at least see the baby and know this is real. however, I heard they don't usually do an u/s until week 20 unless you have a significant history

Anyways, thanks for letting me vent. Hubby doesn't totally understand and have no one else to talk to because no one knows.
