Back from 1st appointment!

Everything went really well. I'm measuring right on schedule and I was told that there's a good chance I'll be able to try for a VBAC this time depending on the baby's size (I didn't dilate or go into labor with DD on my own because she was too big for me to deliver vaginally). I don't go back until the NT scan when I'm 12 weeks, but I'll get an ultrasound at that appointment and get to hear the heartbeat. I can't wait!

Anyone else have their appointment today?

Aww...glad it went so well! That's good news about the VBAC, too. I haven't decided what my plan is going to be. (I had a c/s with dd too). My appointment isn't until next Wednesday. I can't wait though! I don't think it will really seem real until I see the LO on the u/s.

I went to the doctor this morning - he just gave me a referral for a blood test, a glucose test and some other test which I,m doing tomorrow morning.  Next appointment is on the 21st for a refferal - I was hoping I would have had more of a confirmation today - but I guess I'll have to wait

Glad to hear it went well! I dont go till the end of the month. My doc doesn't see me till 8-10 weeks.

Glad to hear it went well. I have my first appointment tomorrow. I am so happy that my Doc see's patients right away. I was shocked when I called and they wanted to make an appointment for the next day.

While I'd really like to have a VBAC, it's ultimately still up in the air. My OB mentioned that we're going to monitor the baby's size more closely during the 3rd tri and as long as he/she appears to be less than 8 lbs., she'll let me try. Otherwise, we'll have to schedule another c-section. I can't imagine recovering from a c-section with a new baby and a toddler running around this time, so I'm hopeful this baby will be on the smaller side LOL.
