i just need to tell someone how i feel! my DH and I got pregnant before we were married. i wanted to wait until after the baby to have a wedding bc i wanted to lose the weight etc etc... well after the baby i started planning our wedding, and my parents (who were paying for the wedding) started making planning very difficult (thats another story!) but anyway, my DH and I ended up just running off to the courthouse and getting married. BUT now i am so jealous of EVERYONE who is having a wedding.... my one dream was to wear a beautiful dress and have a beautiful ceremony. i know it seems so petty, but i just wanted to look beautiful for my husband on that day that should be so special. ok. pitty party over. thanks for listening

I'm sorry. That sounds hard . Could the three of you maybe do a destination wedding, so you could wear a nice dress?

Sometimes it's easy to lose the point of a wedding when planning one. You married the person you love and you have a child together (and saved a ton 'o cash).  You could always have a big "hey, we got hitched come celebrate with us" party with all of your friends and family.

yes and my husband and i have talked about it, but it doesnt look like that will be happening any time soon ... not to mention i would be just as happy be in an open field reading our vows (im from alabama so i love the country!!)

This is exactly what we did!  We had a sort of "renewal of vows."  It was great and it was a lot of fun.

So do it!  The only expense would be the gown and the minister/JOP.  It would be so "Runaway Bride" (remember the end where it was just them in an open field saying their vows?)
