News: GL to all our ladies in the 2ww! Congrats to ijack on her BFP! T&P to Heather1979 on her continued b/p and health issues.
Updates: Last week, ijack got a BFP with a first beta of 288 and is due Aug 9 - congrats! Mrsmikey was 9dpo and waiting to test. Kamcfarlane had a bleeding scare, but an ultrasound confirmed all is well with baby. Magdalina.h is starting to feel a little less stressed after a great ultrasound and is starting her weekly NSTs. Heather1979 is starting to have some swelling and breathing difficulty, which her doctor is brushing off as "normal". She was also told she has a heart murmur and had an echocardiogram and was awaiting results. Njkaren was released from her RE and had a great first appt with her OB, though she is still struggling with m/s. Tierelieber's doing great at 33 weeks. IAM4UK scheduled her c-section - New Year's Eve babies!
If you'd like to address a question to the group, please feel free to page or PM me.
Re: Pregnant (& TTC) After Preemie Check-in!
turns out i suck at being pregnant.
after the initial bleeding scare, it kept up, so we went in for an u/s on friday. baby looks good, moving all around. so, just like last time, perfect looking baby, i'm the problem.
the dr says there are 2 possibilities. the 70% possibility is that my cervix is just bleeding for no good reason. the 30% possibility is that my membranes are pulling away from my uterine wall, which is obviously not good. it can lead to PROM and PTL, neither of which i'm interested in experiencing. the good news is that it can heal.
the bleeding finally stopped yesterday and so now i'm just laying low hoping that this all just blows over. until then, restricted movement and pelvic rest for me!
2nd beta was 789 (more than doubled in 24hrs) and first u/s is 12/23 (which has me a little freaked out because it can make of break christmas for me). If anyone has any tips on things to ask my OB I would love to hear them. So far the topics for discussion are: p17 shots, clotting disorders, a level 2 u/s, thin cord and velamentous cord insertion.
I popped instantly and look huge for 5w, but I'm not complaining!

OMG, look at you!! So cute
Wow! You look adorable! Definitely pg though. Congrats!
Sorry for the dup post, I'll fix it when it lets me
On to cycle #2 for us.
But cycle #1 looked great as far as o'ing, lp and all that jazz. So we are very excited for that and hopefully can continue TTC without the meds. Today is cd1 for me and I have decided to go full on charting with temps and everything. I want to do everything I can to give us the best chance possible.
And honestly, I'm ok with not having an August baby. As lame as it sounds, it didn't work well with our summer plans. But obviously we'll take what we can get. Septmeber will be much better though.
Can you move me to TTC?!!!
This is our first official month trying and it seems as if our timing has been great....we'll see! It's also my first month ever of temping/charting and honestly I'm getting quite aggravated, lol. The chart still isn't showing I O'd but I'm pretty positive it was last Sunday....so now we wait.
I'd be happy to! Do you have a link to your chart? You've got me curious.
Here you go.... Let me know your thoughts...please??! ; )
https://www.fertilityfriend.com/ttc/index.php
That just takes me to the log-in page
Click on "Sharing" on the left side of the screen, then "Home page setup" and your chart link should be up at the top.
Got it! I'd say FF is probably not giving you crosshairs b/c you don't have any temps between CD 5-15 (and the open circles from CD 16-18), and also b/c you're still recording fertile-quality CM. Usually after you O, your CM will dry up. Were you on hormonal BC before this cycle? You could still be regulating. If you did O, I'd guess it was at CD 16, last Sat. If you still have elevated temps in the next 2-3 days, you'll probably get CH.
Thanks for looking and responding ; )
I haven't been on any hormonal bc since I had my son, but I also never really payed attention to symptoms so I'm still trying to figure out the difference and how to catagorize the cm. Didn't realize it played into the charting equation...I thought that only went off of the temps. Makes more sense now.
I am pretty positive that I O'd last Sat though, even if it weren't for the temp spikes, the cm seemed right and I had some slight cramping.
No problem! You can set it so that it only takes temps into account, but the default is to read all the things you enter into your chart. If you were using OPKs, it would take that into account, too. Give it a couple more days and see what your temps do, if they stay up it'll probably give you CH eventually.
