Were you given any travel restrictions? With DD, I would have been allowed to travel until 36 weeks, I think, since we had no warning signs. I'm assuming that will be different since we now have a history of pPROM?
I ppromed with #1 and my OB treated it as an isolated case that wouldn't happen again. I had absolutely no restrictions even after finding out I had a short cervix with #2. DD (#2) was born at 35 weeks but luckily without any issues other than jaundice.
I asked my Dr about travel restrictions with our next pg, since we are TTC and have a big trip planned in June 2011. He said unless something tells us otherwise, I won't have any travel restrictions other than the normal 36 weeks or whatever it is.
Well, my OB initially said that I should plan on not going more than an hour away from week 32 on... but then he said from week 26 on after I had an infection and all sorts of other crap going on.
I pPROMed with DD #1 at 34 w and when I was pg with DD #2 my OB didn't officially restrict my travel but said it probably wouldn't be a good idea to travel after 32-33 weeks. I ended up delivering DD #2 also at 34 weeks, but it wasn't pPROM - I was dilated to 4-5 cm. and was sent to the hospital and my water was ruptured by the OB.
I pPROM'd with DS at 34w 5d. I'm now pg with #2 and there are no restrictions for me. I'm going to do the P17 shots starting in week 16, but that is the only thing they are treating differently. Everything else is standard like it was with DS...unless something comes up that clues them in otherwise. I have a trip scheduled and will be flying at 14-15 weeks. HTH!
