D&C today for BO

This is my first post here. I was diagnosed with a blighted ovum last week. I thought I was 8 weeks but sac meas 6w3d. My beta levels also did not rise appropriately. I kept going back and forth about the d&c but after a weekend of intense cramping and no sign of the miscarriage starting I spoke with the Dr today. I work in surgery so I asked my Dr today and he worked me in and did the procedure at lunch. I wasn't even expecting to have surgery today. I have to say though I am so glad I went ahead with it. Cramping has since stopped and I'm just glad I won't have to wake up and wonder if today will be the day I miscarry. Im so sorry we all have to go through this. I pray next time we will have a different outcomes. This was our first preg and first time trying.

I'm so sorry for your loss.  ((hugs))  I hope this board brings you some comfort.  I too had a D&C and am glad I was able to get the physical part out of the way quickly so that I could concentrate on emotional healing.

I am sorry for your loss. I had a D&C yesterday. I feel much better since the procedure. I think that it is helping me to get closure about what happened. It was also our first pregnancy and first time trying.
