How to wash diaper bag?

My diaper bag stinks!!  I think it smells like cat pee but DH says it's not.  It's made out of ......nylon I guess.....and one of the bottle holders on the side is insulated with tin foil looking material that's plastic....lol I don't know how to describe it.  It doesn't have a tag anywheres that says the material or washing instructions.  I just threw it in the washing machine with DD's soap and hoping for the best.  Not sure if I should throw it in the dryer or not though....probably just hang it.  Anyone have any other idea to get the stink out?
