Best response to telling anyone

Last night my husband and I ran into a guy that was my youth leader when I was in middle school. He asked what was new with us and I said, "we are having a baby"...his response was priceless, "he asked how"...I started to laugh and thankfully he quickly back tracked. He said I know how and everything, I just am just shocked.

 Once the news settled, he was very excited. I realized he still thinks I am one of the 14 year old's from youth group, when he asked me how old I was now, it clicked that I am really all grown up.

That's pretty sweet, honey. Poor guy just stumbled all over himself, didn't he? It's nice, in a certain way, I think, to have people who remember you way before you had kids... and I bet it's great for them, (especially someone like him, with his job), to see someone they used to "teach" doing so well as an adult.

We see our old youth pastor (DH and I have been dating since we were 16 and met there!) from time to time, he's now a senior's pastor at our new church! I think he's secretly surprised that we "made it"
