Is he scared to sleep? I'm going crazy!

DS used to be a great sleeper. I could just lay him down for bed or naps and he'd go right to sleep. Now he refuses to go down AT ALL. I've tried giving him a later bedtime, CIO, night time routines, everything I can think of. I thought maybe it was just teething or something, but it's been going on for about a month now. He'll cry and cry before naps and bed, and now even wakes up at night. Any advice?

When DD's molars came through, she was like that for well over a month.  Once they popped through, she went back to being my good sleeper.  The only thing that helped a tiny bit was giving her orajel right before bed.  I didn't want to give Motrin for that long, but when she seemed really in pain, I'd give her a dose. 

I don't know if that helps, but hopefully he's sleeping soon!

We're in the same boat.  DS won't nap.  He'll go down to bed, but he usually wakes up anywhere from 1am-2am and won't go back down.  I've tried crying it out but he will do that for 3 hours strait.  I tried rocking him, he'll lay in my arms but won't go to sleep.  I've even tried rubbing his back, but the second he can't feel me touch him, he screams again.  I was up from 1:30am-4:30am this morning, and had to get up at 5am for work.  I'm exhausted and really hope this phase goes quickly.

This is exactly what I'm going through with DS.  It is so reassuring to know we're not alone.  His top molars came through about 2 weeks ago and now there's something going on with the bottoms ones.  He's drooling and sticking his fingers and snacks down the sides of his mouth.

The problem is . . . he will sleep with us.  It's a bit "fitful" but he's sleeping. I'm so unsure of what's causing it.  I'd almost hope it is the teeth so there will be an end in sight.
