This. When DH announced it to his brother and future SIL with other IL family around, he said "we're pregnant, well wifey is,same thing. We're pregnant!!" LOL I thought it was really cute. He looked so excited doing the announcement.

My DH is definatly making it know that I'm pregnant, not us, lol. A few times when he announced it was: "(my name)'s pregnant!" He's totally fine with the fact that I am the one who is carrying and is going to deliver the baby.
But, I have to say, it's adorable that your DH says that. He must be very excited.
I'm sure he's just expressing his excitement, but I'm with you with the phrasing. It bothers me when men say "We're pregnant"- "We're expecting" is a much more accurate alternative
I am also ok with "we are having a baby" but WE are not pregnant. He got me pregnant but if "we" were I think he may have some problems he should see a doctor about.
After having unexplained infertility for over 2 1/2 years and putting up with all of that...my husband has earned the right to be pregnant. His body may not be experiencing what I am experiencing...but he earned this just as much as I did. And I love when I and/or him tell people that WE are pregnant. We are in this together...he goes to the appointments...he has to lift the heavy things...he has to deal with me crying at Hallmark commercials and The Blind Side...he has to make dinner RIGHT now just to have me eat two bites and be done. Oh no - he is definitely pregnant also...just experiencing it in a different way!
I always thought that was strange when people said that, but I keep saying it anyway! It feels like we're in it together. We're expecting' does make more sense though.

I sometimes say, "We're pregnant!" I know it's technically inaccurate, but I feel like it's a way of including him, and he certainly is sharing the load of the pregnancy with me (it can't be fun hearing me getting sick all the time, dealing with my food/smell aversions, taking on extra housework while I sit on the couch feeling miserable). "We're expecting" just doesn't convey his involvement in the pregnancy as well, IMO.
