Speaking of diaper rash - sposies brand?

Quinn's been getting a rash after being at MILs lately.  She is using some disposables that look like some kind of natural brand.  I've only ever bought Target brand (the few times we've used disposables), so I have no idea what these might be.

They're natural colored on the outside, though (like no dyes) and definitely have a different interior (not gel stuff).

Any guesses what brand they might be?  I'm bummed (no pun intended) that he is getting red from a "good"ish brand of disposable.  I'm glad she's trying to get something EF...

  • The only natural colored ones I've seen were 7th Generation.  But that was a couple years ago so I don't know if they are the same color.

    Bummer!

I wish I could think it was from him being super wet, but last night he was not very wet when I took the diaper off (but he was super sweaty) and his bum was bright red... still a little red this morning, but better by lunchtime after being in his bumgenius....

  • By your description they sound like 7th Gen. However, those do have gel. The only gel free diapers are Kushies and I believe those are white. 7th Gen are the only natural colored ones I know of.

Really? 7th generation has the gel crap? Why??? I thought those were supposed to be good? Or does "good" just mean "no chlorine?"

  • Those definitely sound like Seventh Gen. I just ordered them by accident, we usually get Earth's Best.  We mostly use cloth but these are our night and grandma diapers.  I didn't realize I had bought the wrong ones until he woke up the next morning absolutely soaked!  MIL had him for a few hours later that day so he was in them again.  He leaked and got a horrible rash!  I didn't realize it could be the diapers causing the rash until a few days later, every time he was in a sposie, the rash would get worse and would get a little better in cloth.  Even though he had ointment on when in sposies.

I'm so bummed, I just bought a whole case and have only used a handful.  We won't even try to use these again.  I read the forum from the post above, clearly they have made some recent bad changes!

  • Sounds like 7th gen or Natures Baby Care by your description. I've recently heard of others getting rashes in 7th gen.  I use them at night and haven't had a problem
