Per this thread, we're hoping to condense a lot of the "gawker" threads into one! We thought this would make them more fun to browse and the board an easier read. We'll start a new thread every day to keep the list fresh.
Anyone is welcome to add to the post--local hospital names, the awful name you over heard at the park, Facebook horrors, and anything else that might give us a good chuckle! Feel free to comment, too!
Re: Post your facebook, hospital & other name horrors here
All I can say is wow, just wow!

Triplets at my church: Brianna (not bad), Bryley, and Brandilynne.
Yeah.
PS: I've begun to see Justice popping up everywhere (I do not like it at all). I wonder if it has anything to do with that store for tweens and young girls with the same name. "Justice- just for girls" Yes, it's a cute store... but it's also a surname!!! I just don't get it.
That's exactly how I feel. I suppose Blossom isn't a horrible name, but I automatically think of the TV show Blossom.
My taste in names is VERY traditional, so, while there are names that I think are really out there, others might really like them.
Alix at least is a fairly old variant--it's the German version of Alice, and was actually the name of the wife of Nicholas Romanov, before she married into the Russian royal family. It's rare(at least over here), but neither made-up, new, nor kr8tiv.
Again, my taste in names is VERY traditional, so some names that I post here may not be as out there to others as they seem to me.
I'll add--
brothers named Cash and Credit--they're middle schoolers in nyc right now)
twin girls--Kitana and Mileena--yes, from Mortal combat--the princess and her evil clone. They were born to a 15 year old, so...
I just don't understand what parents are thinking....
BTW...I have heard of Justus as a boy's name...it was a single mom want wanted to name him after it being Just Them (Just Us)....I get it, but really?
Rhylynd (holy y usage)
Kilia (the way it ispronounced gets me every time and i cant even share it, i just know it is not how I would attempt to pronounce it)
Ingal (Angel)
This isn't a spelling of Rachel, it's the name Richelle, like Michelle only with an R. It's a legitimate name and been around for at least a few years as my best friend (almost 30) has it as a middle name.
