Do you have to clean your toilets all.the.time? DS1 sometimes dribbles on the toilet rim (under the seat) and sometimes squirts the the back of the toilet...I swear since he has PT I have had to clean the toilets much more often.
I'm not sure it's totally a boy thing - just a newly PT child thing. Ben basically refuses to go standing up, but sitting he's not any worse than Natalie.

Between H and DS1, I could clean my toilets daily and they'd still be gross. I'm constantly asking H how it's possible that they can point their peens into the toilet and still make a mess. It's all dribbled down the front and sometimes sides, dried behind the seat and I've stepped in more pee in front of the can than I care to talk about. I refuse to have a rug there because then I'd have to wash THAT every other day. Disgusting. I dread the day DS2 starts using the potty.

LOL! It's so in my case!!!
It's a BOY thing in my case too. Never had this issue and DD been PTed for 2+ years. In fact, DS has been PTed for 6+ months!!!
My son is 4. He sits on the potty--doesn't stand. He doesn't make a mess at all--I swear! But he's meticulous about things like that, as he is when he eats. All of those years of having two bad sleepers--maybe my time has come for other good things!!
Gah, I have three peens in my house and 4 toilets and they insist one using them ALL. What I reccomend is a quick release toilet seat- they click on not like a traditional one that uses plastic nuts and bolts. Makes clean up WAY easier.
Oh and don't forget the floors and walls around the potty!
I don't think it's just a boy thing. My dd has a way of dribbling pee all over the seat. Sometimes when she sits on the toilets she messes with her junk and manages to somehow shoot her pee in a stream that goes right under the rim of the seat and all down onto the floor. It's like she's purposely manipulating the stream just to see what happens, LOL.
