Last SUNDAY (so 6 days ago) I ordered a pair of pants and a sweatshirt online from Aeropostale for my niece. I've never bought anything from there before but their camis were on sale, so I also threw in a cami for me. Shipping for everything was $7 and I got the confirmation email that same day.
TODAY I get two emails from them. The first says of the 3 items ordered, they were "out of stock" of the pants and sweatshirt. Really? I ordered this almost a week ago and everything was in stock...
The second email says they still shipped the $9 cami anyway and still charged me $7 for shipping. I wouldn't have even ordered the top if it weren't for me ordering my niece some things...and to have to pay almost just as much in shipping for a tank top as I would have for an entire sweatsuit plus the tank? Just frustrating!

It took 44 cycles, just over 3 years, 6 failed IUI's in MI, and 1 round of IVF at CCRM to get our BFP!

DH is on the phone with their ONLINE WEB SUPPORT customer service...and one of the first things this girl says to him on the phone is, "Well this is why I personally don't shop online."
Huh?!?! Is that line in your "How to address online customers" handbook?!
"Well even if you had ordered one item, shipping would have still been $7."
We GET that, but I wouldn't have ordered just one item if I was going to have to pay just as much in shipping as the item cost! We ordered THREE items!
(We really aren't that stingy over a measly seven bucks, but the whole principle of this is ticking us off!)

That stinks. I'm sorry that the help line is not very helpful. I would ask to speak with a supervisor. Obviously she is not good at her job.
I've done a ton of online shopping and never had that problem. The store you shopped at needs to get their crap together.
After about 15 minutes on the phone, this is what ended up happening. Geez o pete!!!

You are not in the wrong for arguing over $7...I know it seems insignificant, but if they do that to everyone, they are ripping people off. Plus, how long are they going to be out of stock on the other items?
The whole thing is just ridiculous! I'm sorry you had to deal with that. I hate stupid customer "support" people too...Ugh!
