Hey Mrs.A.Butler

There is some deliciousness in my crockpot right now thanks to you! I did a little experimenting and will find out in two hours if it tastes as good as it smells.  ::drools::

  • Oooooooo!!!! How was it?! :) mine was just experimenting too but turned out so freaking good. Dh told me to make it more often. What did you do different (others than the coconut oil)?

  • I used yams.  I put in almond milk, brown sugar, honey, cinnamon, coconut oil, sweetened shredded coconut (what I had on hand), pecans and hazelnuts.  Next time I'll leave out the hazelnuts since I wasn't overly impressed with them in there but they're a favorite.  One bowl I added a couple marshmallows to which was good.  The second bowl I drizzled more honey over it and that was the best.  I literally felt like I was wrapped in comfort.  And I followed your advice on mashing it up.  I think if I make them on the stove I'll keep them cubed and make them a little more candied that way.  But, wow were they delicious.  I still have some left for lunch today and have to figure out what to have them with.
  • That's awesome. And yours sound super yummy.
