when did you stop bleeding?

i'm 2 weeks postpartum today, still bleeding bright red. it's definitely getting lighter, but still like having a period every day. when did yours stop, if it has?? my mom said 6 weeks! i am hoping it is not that long..

Mine stopped two week to the day...

But i heard thats not common it is usually weeks and weeks from what I have heard from friends and such. That its heavey and tapers of more and more and more...

It's been 4 weeks since my DD was born and I still have some bleeding (more like the tail-end of a menstrual period though - not bright red).

2 weeks, then I overexerted myself and it started up again.  It's stopped again in the last few days.

I stopped at two weeks. (TMI) I still had some brownish discharge for a few days after that though.

Mine stopped at just over 3 weeks pp, then there was about 1.5 days of the yellow-ish discharge (kinda freaked me out because I wasn't expecting it and thought it was an infection... but totally normal apparently!).

Im sorry but im 6 weeks and I think I am now just stopping ....but I know that im still spotting that dark brown color!My doctor said he has see up to 12 weeks !

I bled heavily for about 2.5wks then continued spotting till I was about 13.5wks PP... It was horrible!

I stopped bleeding around 4 weeks. The color and flow would vary, depending on my activity level.

Sorry to tell you this, but I bled for almost 6 weeks also!  But then I didnt get my true first period until just this week and my LO is 3 months old.  I am sure it makes a difference if you breast feed or formula feed....I tried breast feeding for the first month but LO didnt latch on enough so now she is formula fed.  And just to warn you...the first period after giving birth is EXTREMELY heavy!

Me too. Some days I won't have any bleeding, then the next I will have dark red/brownish bleeding. Off & on... Off & on... 6 weeks tomorrow and still spotting!! Doc said it could go until I get my first PP period, and who knows when that will happen! I hope your one of the lucky ones, good luck!

About 2.5 weeks. There are still small traces every now and then, but nothing a panty liner can't handle.

Just the other day at 5 weeks on the nose. Each week the bleeding changed like the next day of a period (1st week was like first day, second week like second, etc) and then it just stopped cold turkey at 5 weeks.

i stopped completely at 4 weeks, but it slowed down alot around 2-3.  Then i had a stressful morning at 5 weeks and bleed again for a couple days.  Like pp said, overdoing it def affects your bleeding.

I bled, until at least 5 weeks, and on occasion,sill get some mucousy blood still at 9 weeks. Granted, I had a 10 pound baby vaginally with forceps so that could have something to do with it. LOL

Its been about 3 1/2 weeks and I still have bleeding -- though its lighter (like the end of a period).
