Child care!

So, I know that it is insanely early, but I will need child care two days a week when I go back to work, so I started investigating today.  Many of the programs that will take an infant in my town have lengthy waiting lists, so I am filling out applications tonight and have a tour tomorrow.  Crazy... 

I am lucky that the other three days, my mom will keep the baby, I will work from home, and I can bring a baby to work....    I hate that I will need to utilize a day care from the beginning, and I also know that I will drive the day care BSC with my neurotic requests.  (I work for an agency that facilitates investigations and prosecutions of child sexual abuse cases - so basically everyone I meet is a creepy stranger.)

Oh my gosh it is insane in DC! We put #2 on the waiting list in August when we first found out and with preference the earliest we could get was October. We didn't tell the daycare we miscarried that pregnancy in case we got pregnant again so we wouldn't lost the spot!

wow... we've discussed childcare but never even considered looking into it so early. How did you even start??
