...anything even remotely resembling jeggings, but I'm seriously a convert. With all the worthwhile boot styles now, skinny jeans are a must - so you might as well make them as stretchy and comfy as possible.
Did anyone see when PW rec'd the Hue Denim Leggings? Yep, bought them today and they're fabulous.
I know what you're thinking - that your body type is not meant for something so clingy. Trust me, it is. You should buy some. Just buy one of the million long sweaters on the racks and you're good to go!
Re: I swore I'd never buy...
Trust me, you don't want to see me in a pair of jeggings.
However, my daughter looks fabulous in them!
My knee fat rolls beg to differ.
You, on the other hand, could rock those jeggings like no one's business.
I literally read your post title and thought "jeggings!" because I used to say the same thing!
And I bought some last week. They are for wearing with tall boots ONLY though, not flats or anything else. (My body type was not made for tapered-ankle pants.) But they're from Old Navy, they were only $15, and they're pretty great. Oh and the butt isn't so supertight that I feel like I have to have it completely covered. So long as the elastic waist stays covered, teehee!

Ok, I will say that I have a pair of "skinny" (HA) jeans that I wear only with my flat riding boots. And my butt is always covered. I always think of jeggings as like a thinner, cotton material.
I had to wear them with sandals in FL for a day before my luggage got there and I felt so blah. Tapered pants are a not good thing for my big ole hips.
I have those! I bought them a few weeks ago because my TR jeggings give me a muffin top and I didn't want to spend too much since I will hopefully drop this c/s shelf at some point in the near future. Plus I wanted something really comfy.
I really like them and I have a lot of long sweaters that they look cute with - plus I'm a boot addict and have tons of boots to wear with them.
ITA. Some women - and not just the super skinny ones - can pull off the leggings/jeggings/skinnies with flats, but I am not one of them. It's all about my tall boots.
I also have skinny jeans from Old Navy that I love - they're just not as stretchy.
ok. I really, really beg to differ.
I do NOT think I could pull off skinny jeans with high boots. It's a body type thing.
I sent in my measurements to a bridal shop for a BM dress and the clerk didn't believe me (b*tch). bust=34, waist=29, hips=42.
My hips/thighs demand too much attention for skinny pants of any kind.
