People keep asking me if we've started looking into daycare yet. The answer is a big, fat NO... mainly because I'm in denial that I'll have to go back to work in the fall. There's a small possibility that I won't, but a much bigger one (like, 99.8%) that I will.
A few weeks ago, someone asked about finding a daycare in the EB, and someone here posted a link to a good website to start with (like a database or a search engine), but it was for a specific county. Does something like that exist for the SB (or Santa Clara County)? Or can any SB mamas give me a tip on getting started?
TIA!
Re: Daycare in SB- where to begin?
someone posted this link:

and I registered with the Child Care Council of Santa Clara County:

I think you have to decide what kind of care you want - in home care or a daycare center - and then just start searching.
Thanks a bunch!!

I agree. I think you'll find if you decide to go with in home, but don't need care until next fall, you don't really need to start your search yet. You can gather info, but won't need to be on a waiting list or hold a spot.
On the other hand, if you decide a center is best for you, getting on a waiting list or holding a spot now might be necessary.
