Another Santa Q: Stockings

How do you do stockings in your house? We've always hung up one for DH and I as well. Now I'm beginning to wonder if we should just hang one for E starting this year, since technically Santa's doing the filling, right?

Re: Another Santa Q: Stockings

  • I think stockings are a family thing.  As a kid, my mom had a normal stocking and mine was HUGE.  (I don't remember the stocking being solely Santa's domain though.)  Parents could get more 'adult' things like an orange and a pair of slippers.  I think it's cool for Santa to deliver to parents too!

  • We have a stocking for DH, myself, Lilly and the dog.  Santa loves parents and dogs too! Stick out tongue

  • Growing up all of us had stockings....we just "knew" that Santa filled ours and that Mom & Dad filled each other's with surprises. Geez, we were gullible, lol.You could hang them and just leave them empty if you don't want to do the gift thing and explain to E...everyone (even the dog and/or cat) should have a stocking hung with care in my book.

  • We do stockings for everyone, D is the easiest to buy for I think. I usually hit up the target $ stop and then fill in some cars, and candy.
  • We do stockings for everyone.

  • Growing up my parents had stockings also, but Santa usually forgot my Mom (I remember being pretty sad about this). We plan on continuing to have stockings for ourselves and the dog with kids.
