  • Last year I got her DC providers (there were 3 in her infant class last year) $50 Visa gift cards. This year (new school) she has 2 teachers...I'm thinking about doing the same thing. I gave it to them in a coffee mug filled with stuff to make hot chocolate.

  • you might want to check with dc about their rules on accepting cash.  a lot of places employees cannot accept cash, but gc's are ok.

  • I think gift cards are more personal. I would go with that option.

  • I worked in daycare for five years and most daycares will not allow teachers to accept cash.  Gift cards are great.  For older kids, they can draw or color a picture to give their teacher along with the gift card, or the idea of giving the gc in a mug with hot chocolate or coffee is great too.
