Booo.

Latke mix goes bad.  It was all sour with a weird aftertaste 

I am so bummed.  I wanted to surprise DH... at least the rest of the dinner was good though.

I am debating using a bag of shredded potatoes to make Latkes, think it will work?

I hate the way I feel like my arteries are literally closing up and I am getting zits from all the oil... but they are sooo gooood.  Boo.  I have to get some new mix this weekend if the store has any left.

I think pre-shredded potatoes will definitely work. We always grate them fresh but we make them pretty much every night..

We made them too (well my cousin did) even though we aren't Jewish and we don't normally celebrate the holiday. I was disappointed they came out bland and tasteless.
