Old Topic-Shower Hostess Gifts

I know this was discussed a looong time ago, but I need some help! My husband and two best friends threw me surprise shower a few weeks ago and I need to get my two friends something to show my gratitude. They both live far away (one had to fly in for the shower), so the gifts have to be mailable. It was awesome that they went through the trouble and expense to throw me the shower and I am kind of at a loss as to how thank them. Thanks!

Re: Old Topic-Shower Hostess Gifts

  • I gave my shower hostesses flowers - you could have their local florist deliver for a reasonable price.

  • I gave 2 of my shower hostesses gift cards to Starbucks (they are both coffee lovers) and my sister in law who thru me the family shower out of state a gift card to Olive Garden.
  • Are the friends male or female? Can you tell us a bit more about them, and what your budget is.

For my hostesses I did something personal for each one. The main hostess redid her bathroom recently, so I got her a basket of L'Occitane products. I got a beautiful frame that matches my friends living room, and for my mom a photo album for baby photos.

You can arrange for a gift certificate for a massage, or dinner at a nice restaurant where they live. One of my favorite wedding gifts was a gift certificate for a restaurant that had rave reviews in our city. It was so thoughtful of our friends to arrange for a night out for us.

Good ideas! The are female and my budget is about $50 each. My one friend lives in a tiny town in the mountains, so it limits what I can do for her. The other friend lives in a big city and that might be a bit easier. My friend in the mountains is very outdoorsy and I was thinking something geared toward that might be good. She might also like the spa gift certificate for when she makes a trip down to the Denver area. My other friend that lives in a big city is super busy getting her master's and working full time, so something that would help her would be awesome.
