Someone touched my stomach!

and I'm not even showing.

It was the day of our 12 week appt on Wednesday. Afterwards we went to breakfast and I walked past a girl I know at the restaurant. I've always thought she was pretty annoying. She's a past co-worker of DH's. She spotted me and in passing reached out and said "You takin care of that baby?" .

I was a little taken back and just said. "yeees" . lol.

I can see how this would get really annoying, expecially since I am NOT showing! Good thing everything went well at my Dr appt prior that day. Geez.

That's already happened to me twice at work, and I'm not showing one bit. I just take it all in stride though, they're just happy for you!

This is my 4th child and it has ALWAYS been like that! I SWEAR as soon as i found out i was pregnant ppl started touching my sttomach. I'm like are you SERIOUS! My sister does EVERYTIME i see her and same goes for my SIL! But after awhile you just have to get use to it. They are just excited to be having another niece or nephew (praying for niece we have 3 boys lol) But a complete stranger i would be like uh excuse me what are you doing?

I'm showing slightly, or at least I don't believe it's bloat anymore as I don't feel bloated.  I don't think even if I was showing a lot I would be comfortable with someone who isn't my DH.  I think it even seems weird to me when my family touches my stomach but more understandable.  Today for the first time since I told my coworkers one of them touched my belly and it was so weird to me!!!  I'm also have a real germ phobia and I don't like people touching me!

Dude, I would've told her to keep her hands off.  LOL I have annoying coworkers like that and I fully intend to tell them to keep their hands to themselves if they try touching my stomach.  Not cool.

That happened to me over the holidays. It was weird. I almost jerked my sisternlaws hand off my stomach.

I actually have one co-worker who says she keeps looking at me and my stomach and asking me if I have a bump yet. It's funny once people know your pregnant. It's like it gives them instant ticket to being your BFF they think they can just put their hands on your belly.

I'm close to my ILs so I don't mind at all when family like them ask. But I keep my personal life separate from work so umm...no, I will not lift my shirt up to show you my bump if I had one.

i was at clinical last week and my teacher mentioned to my preceptor that i was pregnant since a patient had recently had shingles.  the nurse immediately put her hand to my stomach and said "awwww how far along?" i didn't mind that much - she's a nurse - her job is to care for people and nurture.  but if a complete stranger at a grocery store comes up and tries to touch my belly, i will be not be happy.

My friends husband did it to me and I was so caught off guard that I didn't say anything but I HATE being touched by people other than my DH. I need to come up with a good comeback now before it really starts. I'm sure when we tell MIL she will try and I am dreading it. I asked DH if he could tell her without me there but he said no

I'm putting up with the women, but if a guy did it? I think that's weird. I wouldn't react well in my automatic facial expession.

It's like once you're pregnant, people are automatically allowed to touch you and tell you how fat they think you are even if you're not even showing.

 lol my sister's boyfriend came up and started patting my belly as soon as i told them (which was right away).  so i was all of 6 weeks at that point but i thought it was funny.

My immediately family, MIL, DH and ONE close friend are really the only people I would be comfortable with touching without asking first.

 I react badly to any unwanted touch due to past issues, and I'm honestly frightened that I will hit people who touch me unasked. 

 Once I really start showing, I'm probably going to buy several versions of a "hands off" type shirt, and wear it daily.
