Baby Names

Girl Name

This name was just come up with and just wanting opinions on the name:

 "Brooklyn Avery" or "Brooklyn Rylee"

Not sure how we'd spell Avery, any suggestions would be nice, thanks!

Re: Girl Name

  • Brooklyn is cute.  I'm not sure if  I like it with either of those middle names.

  • my husband also likes they name brooklyn! I said if it is brooklyn her middle name would be michelle ! That is my middle name! If we have a girl!

As for Avery that is a good way to spell it or Averi or Avrie or Avreigh?

My cousin spells Her daughters name Ryleigh!

    Good Luck!

  • Not a big fan of either, but prefer Brooklyn Avery.
  • First thought: Trendy.

Brooklyn is super trendy as is Avery and Rylee (Riley?) right now.

  • MH loves the name Brooklyn. I like it enough, but am not a big fan. If he gets his way, I was thinking of pairing it with Grace as a mn.

For your mn, I think I prefer Avery.

  • I'm leaning away from Rylee altogether bc my BIL & SIL named their kiddo "Kayden Riley" and I spell it "RYLEE" bc my name ends in 2 "EE's"

If anyone has a suggestion to go with BROOKLYN for a MN, let me know! Hubby and I are just racking our brains right now Stick out tongue

  • Trendy isn't always bad! lol I don't know any Brooklyn's or Avery's or any combination of them...and I work in Childcare lol I'll probably be back with something else we come up with too. I like Feminine names, but trying to stay away from the super popular ones, and Brooklyn my hubby actually loves.

    Thanks for your inputs :]

  • I like Brooklyn Avery, but then I would think about your last name, for initial purposes. :)

  • The only girl Avery I know spells it Avary - that may be a youneek way to spell it, but it what I have seen IRL. My cousins name is Brooklyn Elise - I think it's cute :)

  • I really dislike Brooklyn - it's way too trendy for my taste and doesn't sound feminine to me at all.  Avery is okay, Rylee is awful, IMO.  Sorry.

  • Brooklyn is NMS, but I don't think it's awful. Avery is better than Rylee, but I don't like either.
  • I just cant  get my mind around the name brooklyn for a child.

I  grew up there and love it, but not something i would ever name a human after!

  • I prefer Brooklyn Avery.

This. I just don't see the appeal of Brooklyn, but I do adore Brooke.
