short and long side on tapered wrap?

is there a purpose to having wraps tapered to one side, rather than, say, long in the middle and short on both sides? just curious

I love tapers, I feel like I get a little more length from the wrap.  It also makes for nice tiny knots (as long as you don't mind tying on the tapers)

As for why they are a rombus shape, I have no clue, but I like it

yes, i prefer them tapered too for sure! i have made myself a couple, and after i tapered this last one, i realized i was doing it differently than my store-boughts. i sometimes get unevenness in my rails with my diys, so i was trying to figure out if the way i did it was the cause (unevenness meaning, too tight under baby's butt, too loose behind her back). maybe i'll just redo it. thanks!
