We just flew LA to Australia. And it really wasn't a big deal. We brought lots of books, trucks, a magnadoodle, stacking cups and a couple of other little toys. He slept 6 hours and the rest of the time we played, read, walked the aisles and ate. It was completely manageable because we were prepared. ![]()
And the TSA screenings we fine - they saw me with DS and took us through the regular metal detector even though everyone had to be scanned. I was going to opt out but I didn't even have to - no pat down either.
Just wanted to throw all that out there for anyone else freaking out over taking LO on a plane. Anyone else not have a terrible time flying recently? We can't be the only ones!
Re: Survived a 14 hour flight alone with DS...
14 hours? amazing!
I just flew with my 3.5 year old and my 15 month old, two flights, 3 hours total. It wasn't horrible, but wasn;t easy either. I consider myself pretty prepared, but we couldn;t get up, and DS2 was a lap baby so I had to keep him busy....
Kudos to you!!
