Survived a 14 hour flight alone with DS...

We just flew LA to Australia. And it really wasn't a big deal. We brought lots of books, trucks, a magnadoodle, stacking cups and a couple of other little toys. He slept 6 hours and the rest of the time we played, read, walked the aisles and ate. It was completely manageable because we were prepared.

And the TSA screenings we fine - they saw me with DS and took us through the regular metal detector even though everyone had to be scanned. I was going to opt out but I didn't even have to - no pat down either.

Just wanted to throw all that out there for anyone else freaking out over taking LO on a plane. Anyone else not have a terrible time flying recently? We can't be the only ones!

Glad you had a nice trip.  Gives me a little bit of comfort for my upcoming trip back to England with my 19(maybe by then 20 month old) I'm hoping to not have to do it alone, but at least it appears to be manageable!

14 hours? amazing!

I just flew with my 3.5 year old and my 15 month old, two flights, 3 hours total. It wasn't horrible, but wasn;t easy either. I consider myself pretty prepared, but we couldn;t get up, and DS2 was a lap baby so I had to keep him busy....
