I am so excited!! I had my mom pick me up some organic avocados when she went to a vitamin cottage store out of town (because we don't have one in our town ) I decided to try and make up a bunch of frozen baby food, even though the baby food recipe book I have says avpcados are not sutable for freezing. I blended the avocados with breast milk and froze them into 1 oz cubes. I did not use lemon juice to keep them from browning, because we are not doing any citrus yet. AND...... I just pulled a cube out and fed it to LO and it was beautiful!!!! No browning, and the texture with the breast milk was sooo smooth and creamy Yeah I am just so glad I went for it and gave it a try because it was so worth it. Anyone else with the same experience?
I Could never fully understand the statement "they grow so fast" untill you came into my life!
I freeze avocados all the time! I like to slice them, roll them in cheerio crumbs, and freeze on a baking sheet. DS loves them. They get soft by the end of the meal and the cheerios make them not slippery. I've also done purres to dip veggies in. I've never had them go brown.
